Research and Creative Projects

We are nearly a quarter done with the semester this week and only a few of you have submitted proposals for your research and creative projects. You will not be able to complete either of these assignments successfully without prolonged creative and research work. In order to help the rest of you get started, I am going to hold an online chat session during which I will clarify these assignments and offer other helpful suggestions. If you find yourself having a hard time getting started you should plan to join this chat which will be held in the main course chatroom inside eCollege. I will definitely be online in the chatroom from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. this Thursday February 9th.

Let me know if you have questions or concerns.

Clarification of Group Chats

Hello again everyone. I hope your semesters are off to a good start.

I just wanted to clarify a few issues regarding the group project. In a recent email you should have all received, you were assigned a group of classmates to work on the group chat assignment with. I wasn't aware that you would be able to see each others email addresses in the email I sent, so I suggested that you use the group chat room in eCollege to make contact with your group mates.

You are not required to use this tool, and you are not required to document your group's progress in developing a topic, researching the topic and notifying your classmates about your discussion.

You are required to notify the entire class at least one week prior to your scheduled chat - and that chat must take place live using the main chat room in eCollege.

Please contact me via email or the course blog if you still have questions. Read the group chat assignment under the course home section of the course for specfic project requirements.

Welcome

Welcome to the course blog for FA 4350 Interactive Art & The Digital Aesthetic. This group blog will mainly be used to link to each of your individual blogs. Once you've accepted the invitation to join the blog, you should be able to post and/or comment anytime you like. This is a great place to post questions about the course that you think everyone should know.

As for your personal blogs, the primary purpose is to record your progress on your research projects. Please be sure to read the research project requirements in eCollege for a complete description of this project.
